Information We Collect
Information you provide
If you email us, use a contact link, submit a correction, or join a newsletter or digest, we may receive your name, email address, message content, and any other information you choose to include.
Site usage information
Our hosting, security, analytics, and measurement tools may collect IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages viewed, approximate location derived from network information, timestamps, and similar diagnostic data.
Cookies and similar technologies
The site may use cookies, local storage, pixels, tags, and similar technologies for basic site operation, analytics, security, remembering lightweight preferences, and understanding aggregate readership.
Article interaction data
Public article pages may record aggregate engagement events such as page views, search terms submitted on the site, newsletter form submissions, and links clicked.
Firebase, Feeds, and Public Artifacts
The site uses Firebase services for hosting, Cloud Functions, storage, and publishing infrastructure. Published article data may be exported to public Storage artifacts such as article JSON files, RSS feeds, podcast feeds, and sitemap files. These artifacts are intended to contain public editorial content, not private reader data.
Analytics and Tags
The site includes Google Tag Manager. Tag Manager can load analytics, measurement, or other tags configured by the site operator. If Google Analytics or similar tools are enabled, they may collect information about your browser, device, and site interactions. You can learn more about Google Analytics privacy disclosures in Google documentation.
We do not knowingly configure the current public site to sell personal information. If advertising, remarketing, cross-context behavioral advertising, or similar tracking is added later, this policy and any required consent or opt-out controls should be updated before launch.

You can use browser settings to block or delete cookies. Blocking cookies may affect some site features. If legally required and technically feasible, we will honor recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, for covered browser-based tracking.
Data Retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including site operation, security, analytics, editorial recordkeeping, legal compliance, and dispute resolution. Public editorial artifacts may remain available in feeds, archives, caches, and search indexes after publication.
